Learned Senior counsel appearing for respondent No.1 Sugarfed has placed on record the guidelines for postings, transfers and deployment in respect of common cadre officers of Sugarfed, which has been duly approved by the Board of Directors of Sugarfed. It is submitted that the said policy has also been approved by the Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Punjab. It is still further submitted that the Board would adhere to this policy in the matter of postings, transfers and deployment in respect Civil Writ Petition No.14022 of 2005 - 2 - of common cadre officers of Sugarfed.
In view of the said statement, Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous and the same may be disposed of accordingly.
Mr. Sarin, Learned Senior Counsel, however, states that he wants to challenge the said policy.
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of as infructuous without prejudice to the rights of the clients of Mr. Sarin to assail the policy in accordance with law.
Disposed of accordingly.
