Counsel for the petitioner contends that the injuries attributed to the petitioner are on non-vital parts of body of the injured.
He states that at the time of the alleged occurrence, grievous injuries were also caused to Sukhbir Singh, a co-accused. To say so, reliance has been placed upon medical report (Annexure P-1). Counsel further contends that it is yet to be ascertained as to which party was the aggressor.

2006. Shri Narender Kapoor, A.A.G., Punjab, accepts notice. Copy of the petition has been supplied to him. In the meanwhile, on being arrested, the petitioner will be granted interim bail by the Investigating Officer subject to his making himself available for investigation, as and when required, and not making any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case and not leaving India without permission of the Court and complying with such other conditions, as may be laid down by the Investigating Officer.
