Through the instant writ petition, the petitioner has sought the issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, requiring the State Transport Commissioner (respondent No.1) to take a final decision on the application dated 23.5.2005 (Annexure P1) wherein the petitioner has sought extension in his route permit upto Moga from Nanaksar.

Learned counsel for the respondents states that he has no objection to the disposal of the instant writ petition in terms of the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner.
In view of the above, we consider it just and appropriate to dispose of the instant writ petition by directing respondent No.1 i.e. the State Transport Commissioner, Punjab, to take a final decision on the application of the petitioner dated 23.5.2005 (Annexure P1) by passing a well reasoned speaking order within two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
