J.S.Khehar, J. (Oral) :
On 21.5.1998, learned counsel for the petitioner had sought an adjournment so as to enable him to place on the record of this case, details in connection with some persons, similarly situated as the petitioner, who had been given a regular date of promotion retrospectively i.e. the date with effect from which they were inducted into the service of the respondents on ad hoc basis.
Despite the fact that the aforesaid liberty was granted to the petitioner as far back as on 21.5.1998, no material has been placed on record of this case.
In view of the above, it is apparent that the petitioner is no longer interested to pursue the instant writ petition, which is, accordingly, dismissed for reasons of non-prosecution.
