The prayer made in the petition is for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant disability pension to the petitioner alongwith 18 percent interest pa.
For the relief claimed in the present petition, the petitioner has already got served a notice dated 3.4.1996 (Annexure P.2) upon the respondents.
In view of the above, we deem it just and appropriate to direct the respondents to take cognizance of the legal notice sent by the petitioner and decide the same expeditiously preferably within a period of four months from the date a certified copy of this order is presented to them. If the claim of the petitioner is found to be meritorious and decided in his favour then the benefit accruing to the petitioner shall be given within a further period of four months thereafter. It shall be appreciated if a CWP 19283 of 1998 .2.
speaking order is passed.
