Vide a separate order passed today in CWP 16565 of 2003, the aforesaid writ petition has been allowed. The facts which arise for consideration in the present writ petition are slightly different but in a sense the controversy involved between the petitioner and Punjab Technical University, respondent No.1 remains the same. In the light of the notification dated February 22,2006 and in view of the reasons given in the order dated April 5,2006 passed in C.W.P. No. 16565 of 2003, the present writ petition is also allowed. It is directed that the respondent-University shall declare the result of the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the day a certified copy of this order is received. On the declaration of the aforesaid result, the petitioner shall be entitled to pursue his studies as per the notification dated February 22,2006.
A copy of this order be given dasti on usual charges.
