Balraj Gupta v. State of Haryana - CRM-30891-m-2006 RD-P&H 3745 (6 July 2006)
Balraj Gupta vs State of Haryana
Present : Mr.Yogesh Goel, Advocate,
for the petitioner.
The petitioner seeks grant of regular bail in case FIR No.307, dated 13.7.2005, registered under Sections 379/420/467/468/471/120-B of the IPC, at Police Station Sector 5, Panchkula.
Counsel for the petitioner states that as the petitioner has been behind bars for the last 11 months, he should be released on bail.
Counsel for the respondent, however, submits that the petitioner is a member of a gang that indulges in car thefts. It is further contended that two other cases of car thefts, forging of documents and sale of stolen car, are pending against the petitioner.
In view of the aforementioned facts, no ground to release the petitioner on bail. Consequently, the present petition is dismissed. The trial Court shall, however, make every endeavour to conclude the trial, within four months from the next date of hearing.
