Shri Ajai Singh & Ors. v. State of Punjab - CRM-45415-M-2004 [2006] RD-P&H 3782 (6 July 2006)
Shri Ajai Singh & Ors. v. State of Punjab.
* * *
Present: Mr. Akshay Bhan, Advocate for the petitioners.
Mr. B.S. Baath, AAG, Punjab.
Mr. Amarjit Markan, Advocate for the complainant.
* * *
Prayer in this petition is for quashing of the order dated 16.9.2003, whereby the trial Court framed charges against the petitioners and the order dated 20.8.2004 whereby the revision filed by the petitioners against the order framing charges has been dismissed.
It appears that the trial is at its fag end. Counsel for the complainant states that after the framing of charges, evidence has been recorded and the petitioners' statement under Section 313 Cr.P.C has also been recorded.
In view of the aforementioned fact, no ground is made out to exercise jurisdiction under Section 482 Cr.P.C. at this belated stage.
Dismissed.
Liberty is granted to the petitioners to raise all pleas raised herein before the trial Court at an appropriate stage.
