On the asking of Court, Shri Rajeev Sharma, Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
The petitioner before this Court has sought directions against the respondents not to charge the penal compensatory afforestation from the petitioner. It has been claimed that the petitioner is not at all in any way connected with the cutting of trees.
After hearing the learned counsel for the parties, we find that the redressal of her grievance, the petitioner has already served a legal notice (Annexure P.11) dated February 1, 2006 which remains unresponded so far.
Consequently, we dispose of the present petition with a direction to the Chief Conservator of Forest, Punjab, respondent No.2, to take a final decision upon the legal notice (Annexure P.11) dated
February 1, 2006 within a period of four months from the date a certified copy of this order is received, by passing a detailed and speaking order.
A copy of the order be given dasti on payment of usual charges.
