In this writ petition, it is grievance of the petitioner that despite having allotted him route permit, for a specific route, respondent No.2 is not restricting or stopping plying of unauthorized tempo and auto rickshaws on the said route. In reply filed by respondent No.2, it has been stated that on one date, when traffic checking was done, as many as four auto rickshaw were challaned for plying vehicles on the said route.

Shri Chhina assures this Court that the Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Patiala or the District Transport Officer, Patiala shall carry out traffic checking on the route, in dispute, twice a month and will challan those operators, who may be found plying their vehicles unauthorisedly.

In view of statement given, this Court feels that the writ petition has become infructuous. The Secretary, Regional Transport Authority Patiala/ District Transport Officer, Patiala is directed to submit CWP No.11016 of 2005 - 2 -

monthly reports, for a period of six months, for the action taken by them, to this Court, which shall be placed on the record of this writ petition.

The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly.
