The petitioner filed Crl.Misc.No.49156-M of 2003 which was disposed of by this Court on August 24, 2005 with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga to look into the matter and take a final decision within a period of four months.
Alleging non-compliance of the aforesaid order, this contempt petition has been filed.
In response to the show cause notice, an affidavit of Mr.Pawan Kumar Rai, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga has been filed which is taken on record. As per the averments made in the affidavit, the petitioner's complaint has been looked into and after a thorough investigation, report (Annexure R-3) has been submitted.
In this view of the matter, the direction issued by this Court stands complied with and no further action is required to be taken in these proceedings which are accordingly dropped with liberty to the petitioner to impugn the said investigation report and/or to take any other appropriate action, as may be advised to him.
