The prayer made by the petitioner is for issuance of a direction to the respondents to appoint her son on an appropriate post on compassionate grounds as her husband who was working as Water Pump Operator died on December 1, 2004. Some legal formalities have been completed by the petitioner and even option has been obtained by respondent No.3 to the effect that the petitioner wishes to opt for compassionate appointment against ex-gratia grant. The matter is pending C.W.P. No. 11149 of 2006 
before the respondents, although the option was obtained as back as on January 2005.
In view of the above, we deem it just and appropriate to direct the respondents to take a final decision in the matter by deciding the same expeditiously preferably within a period of two months from the date a copy of this order is received by them. It shall be appreciated if the decision is taken by keeping in view the rules known as Haryana Compassionate Assistance to the Dependents of Deceased Government Employees (amendment) Rules, 2003, and a speaking order is passed.
Petition stands disposed of in the above terms.
Copy of the order be given dasti on payment of usual charges.
