Petitioner filed C.W.P. No.3396 of 2003 seeking a direction to the respondent to consider her case for appointment/promotion to the post of Gram Sewika. The said writ petition was allowed on Aug 5,2003 with a direction to the respondent to consider her case for appointment/promotion as Gram Sewika.
Alleging non compliance of the aforesaid order, this contempt petition has been filed.
In response to the show cause notice the respondents have filed their respective affidavits. It has been averred that in compliance to the directions issued by this court, the claim of the petitioner has been considered and vide order dated 16.11.2005 (Annexure-R1), she has been appointed as Gram Sevika w.e.f. 24.10.1994. Vide another order dated
30.11.2005 (Annexure- R2), payment of earned leave amounting to Rs.68390/- has also been made through bank draft dt. 30.11.2005.
In this view of the matter, it is apparent that the directions issued by this court have been complied with by the respondents and as such no further action is required to be taken in these proceedings which are accordingly dropped with liberty, however, to the petitioner to claim any other relief before an appropriate form, to which she is entitled.
