On the asking of Court, Shri Sukhdip Singh Brar, Additional Advocate General, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
The petitioner has sought directions from this Court against respondents No.2 and 3 for taking action for restraining Khokawalas of Teh Bazari Scheme, which were earlier removed under the directions of this Court on July 23, 2004 passed in CWP No.5285 of 2004 (Annexure P.1). The petitioner has pleaded that after the aforesaid Khokawalas have been removed, they have illegally and in connivance with the officials of the Municipal Corporation, Amritsar again started encroaching upon the said area.
Without commenting upon the aforesaid pleas raised by the petitioner, we dispose of the present petition with a direction to the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Amritsar, respondent No.3 and Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar, respondent No.4 to look into the grievance of the petitioner and take such remedial measures, as may be required under the facts and circumstances of the case, so that illegal and unauthorised encroachment is not carried out in the area in question.
A copy of the order be given dasti on payment of usual charges.
