Copies of the writ petition have been supplied to the learned counsel for the respondents.
The petitioner has approached this Court for issuance of directions to the respondents to grant full financial benefits alongwith arrears on the grant of notional promotion vide order dated May 26, 2002 (Annexure P.3) with retrospective effect from July 28, 1995.
From the perusal of the record, we find that a legal notice dated August 25, 2004 has been issued by the petitioner and subsequently a reminder dated May 4, 2006 (Annexure P.9) has been issued which remain unresponded so far.
Consequently, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, we dispose of the present petition with a direction to the Secretary, Department of Rural Development and Panchayat, Chandigarh, respondent to take a final decision upon the aforesaid legal notice/reminder within a period of four months from the date a certified copy of this order is received, by passing a detailed and speaking order.
A copy of the order be given dasti on payment of usual charges.
