The prayer made in the writ petition is for issuance of direction to the respondents to grant seniority and consequential benefits to the petitioner on the post of Constable from the date persons have been appointed as such in pursuance to advertisement dated 19.8.2000.
For the aforementioned relief claimed in the present writ petition, the petitioner has already sent a legal notice dated 1.3.2006 (P-2) followed by reminder dated 2.5.2006 (P-3) Without going into the merits of the case, we deem it just and appropriate to direct the respondents to take cognizance of the C.W.P. No. 12551 of 2006
legal notice and reminder, dated 1.3.2006 (P-2) and 2.5.2006 (P-3) respectively, sent by the petitioner and decide the same expeditiously preferably within a period of four months from the date a certified copy of this order is presented to them. It shall be appreciated if a speaking order is passed.
Petition stands disposed of in the above terms.
