The petitioner filed C.W.P.No.4143 of 2005 for grant of certain benefits including payment of arrears of pay, allowance and/or regularization of his suspension period. The said writ petition was disposed of on March 15, 2005 with a direction to the Director Public Instructions (Schools), Punjab to take a final decision on the legal notice which the petitioner had already served, by passing a well reasoned speaking order within a period of three months.
Alleging non-compliance of the aforesaid order, the petitioner has filed this contempt petition.
In response to the show cause notice, the present Director Public Instructions (SE), Punjab has filed an affidavit dated 9.8.2006 which is taken on record. Along with the said affidavit, a self-speaking order dated 1.8.2006 vide which the petitioner's claim has been decided in terms of directions issued by this Court, has also been appended as Annexure R-1.
In this view of the matter, this petition is disposed of with liberty to impugn the above-mentioned speaking order, if so advised.
Rule stands discharged.
