The petitioner has challenged the policy/guide-lines dated July 18,2000 (Annexure P.6) and the communication dated February 12, 2002 (Annexures P.5) based on the aforesaid guide- lines.
At the outset, Shri S.K.Sharma, the standing counsel appearing for the Union of India, on instructions from the Regional Passport Officer, Jalandhar, informs the Court that the aforesaid policy dated July 18, 2000 had been challenged by All Kerala Travel Agents Association in the High Court of Kerala and the said challenge has been rejected. Shri Sharma further informs the Court that the judgment of Kerala High Court was taken up before the Apex Court
and even the Special Leave Petition filed by the Association has been dismissed on July 9, 2004.
In view of the upholding of the aforesaid policy by Kerala High Court, we are not inclined to go any further into the matter.
