Ph.D Entrance Test was conducted by University Business School of the Punjab University for the year 2006-07. However, public notice was issued on July 28, 2006 by the Chairman of the University Business School that the aforesaid Ph.D Entrance Test would be conducted again and the details with regard to the date of examination, style of question paper etc. will be communicated later on. It is the aforesaid action of the respondent-University which has been challenged by the petitioners before the aforesaid court. The petitioner no.1 has appeared in person.

We have heard petitioner no.1 and with his assistance, we have also gone through the record of the case. Keeping in view the fact that the respondent-University has chosen to hold a fresh Ph.D Entrance Test in the year 2006-07, we are not inclined to interfere in the matter. It is well settled that Courts are always slow in interfering in the matter of academics.
