The petitioner has approached this Court seeking directions against the respondents to supply the allotment letter and the possession slip with regard to Transit Site No.412, Phase-II, Ram Darbar, UT, Chandigarh which according to the petitioners stood allotted to him in the year 1979.
Sh. B.R Mahajan, learned counsel appearing for respondent no.1 has stated that a policy decision was likely to be taken by the Chandigarh Housing Board, Chandigarh (hereinafter referred to as `the Board') with regard to issuance of the allotment letters to the persons who C.W.P NO. 14712 OF 2005 2
were similarly situated as the petitioner. Sh. Mahajan states that after the policy decision is taken by the Board, the necessary follow-up action shall be taken by the Board.
Consequently, we dispose of the present petition with a direction to the Board to take a final decision on the controversy raised by the petitioner within a period of 2 months from the date a certified copy of this order is received and thereafter take further appropriate action in accordance with law as may be required.
Copy of the order be given dasti on payment of the usual charges.
