The petitioners filed CWP No.12651 of 2005 in which a direction for their appointment as S.S. Teachers was sought. The writ petition was disposed of by this Court vide the order dated September 16, 2005 with a direction to the respondents to decide the claim of the petitioners for appointment in the light of various judgments passed by this Court from time to time and which were duly noticed in the above mentioned order.
Alleging non-compliance of the aforesaid order, the petitioners have filed this contempt.
In response to the show cause notice, both the respondents have filed their respective affidavits which are taken on record. Along with their affidavits, the respondents have also appended copies of the orders dated COCP No.142 of 2006 -: 2 :-
June 21, 2006 (Annexures R-1 and R-2) whereby the petitioners' claim for appointment has been considered and turned down on the ground that as per the placement in the merit list, they are not entitled for appointment.
Since the respondents have complied with the directions issued by this Court, this petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to impugn the above mentioned speaking orders dated 21.6.2006 before an appropriate forum, if so advised.
