..... RESPONDENT

CORAM :- HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SATISH KUMAR MITTAL
Present: Mr. P.S. Hundal, Advocate,

for the petitioner.

* * *

Petitioner Ramandeep Singh, apprehending his arrest in a non- bailable offence in case FIR No. 95 dated 31.7.2006 under Sections 304/ 279/323 IPC, registered at Police Station Chheherta, District Amritsar, has filed this petition under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for the grant of anticipatory bail.

As per the version in the aforesaid FIR, the petitioner was driving the bus at the time of the accident. It has been specifically alleged that in spite of the warning by the passengers, the petitioner was driving the vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and he knowingly caused the accident, in which six persons have died. In view of the serious allegations against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant him the anticipatory bail.
