Vide order dated 2.5.2000, passed by this Court in Crl. Misc.
No. 3737 of 2000, a direction was issued to the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Amritsar to hold an enquiry and depending upon his findings, take such action as is required in accordance with law.
The petitioner in the said petition has filed the instant petition alleging that the said enquiry has not been completed so far and the case is being adjourned on one pretext or the other.
I have heard counsel for the parties and perused the various zimni orders.
Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction to Chief Judicial Magistrate, Amritsar, to conclude the aforesaid enquiry expeditiously and preferably within a period of six months.
