Petitioner Krishan Dev has filed this petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail in case FIR No.14 dated 8.2.2001 registered under Sections 498-A/406/506 IPC at Police Station Talwara, District Hoshiarpur.

I have heard the counsel for the parties.

The petitioner, who is husband of the complainant, is in custody since 18.7.2006. Even the charge has not been framed. The trial is not likely to be concluded soon.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, I deem it appropriate to grant regular bail to the petitioner and he is accordingly ordered to be released on bail to the satisfaction of the trial Court.
