* * *
Petitioner Surjit Singh has filed this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for quashing of FIR No. 117 dated 25.7.2002 under Sections 379/34 IPC, registered at Police Station Samrala.
I have heard counsel for the petitioner and gone through the contents of the FIR as well as the contention raised in the petition.
In this case, the quashing of the FIR is sought on the ground that the allegations against the petitioner in the aforesaid FIR are false and for the meager amount, the FIR has been got registered. After investigation, not only the challan has been filed, but even charge has also been framed.
At this stage, I do not find it just to quash the aforesaid FIR on the aforesaid ground.
