After hearing Learned Counsel for the petitioner and having regard to the fact that it may not be possible for this court to determine as to whether or not the alleged demolition has been carried out after the parties were directed to maintain status quo by the learned Joint Development Commissioner (IRD) vide his order dated 2.8.2006 (Annexure P-2), but keeping in view the fact that the petitioner appears to have represented to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Nawanshahar on 16.8.2006 (Annexure P-5) as also to the Deputy Commissioner, Nawanshahar (Annexure P-6), the Senior Superintendent of Police, Nawanshahar is directed to hold a fact- finding inquiry into the petitioner's allegations within three months and if he finds that the house of the petitioner has been demolished in an illegal and unauthorized manner, to take appropriate action against those who are responsible for the same.
