Petitioner Gulshan Pandit, apprehending his arrest in a non- bailable offence in case FIR No. 10 dated 13.1.2004 under Section 25/54/59 of the Arms Act, Section 188 IPC and Section 207 of the Motor Vehicles Act, registered at Police Station Islamabad Amritsar, has filed this petition under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for the grant of anticipatory bail.
I have heard counsel for the parties and have gone through the contents of the FIR.
Counsel for the petitioner states that in terms of the order dated July 28, 2006, the petitioner has appeared before the trial court and furnished his bail bonds, which have been accepted and attested by Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, on 8.8.2006. Copy of the order has been filed in Court today. The same is taken on record.
In view of the above, without commenting on the merits, the interim bail, granted vide order dated June 13, 2006, is made absolute.
