By way of present application the petitioners are seeking the withdrawal of amount of compensation lying in FDR No. 230250 dated 8.3.1991 for a sum of Rs.10,000/- in the name of Ms.Bhupinder Kaur and another FDR No.230251 dated 8.3.1991 for a sum of Rs.10,000/- lying in the name of Karamjit Singh.

This Court vide order dated 12.3.1990 has directed that amount of Rs.10,000/- awarded to Ms.Bhupinder Kaur be deposited in the fixed deposit and be paid to her at the time of her marriage whereas Karamjit Singh was allowed to withdraw Rs.10,00/- deposited in his name on his attaining majority.

Leaned counsel for the petitioners has placed on record the Invitation Card showing that the marriage of Ms. Bhupinder Kaur is fixed for 4.11.2006 and ceremonies thereof are to start from 1.11.2006.

According to the learned counsel for the petitioners, in view of the order passed, she is entitled to withdraw the amount of Rs.10,000/- deposited in the FDR as per the directions of this Court. The counsel for the petitioner has also place on record Matriculation Certificate showing that Karamjit Singh has attained majority and therefore, he is also entitled to withdraw the amount.

In view of the fact that the conditions imposed in the order for releasing the amount stand satisfied, it is ordered that on demand of the applicants the amounts deposited in the respective FDRs be released to them.
