Short reply, by way of affidavit of respondent No.2 filed in court, is taken on record.
It is not disputed that aggrieved at the judgment dated September 14, 2005 passed by this Court, which is a subject matter of these contempt proceedings, the Union of India has preferred Petition for Special Leave to Appeal (Civil) No.11855 of 2006 in which the Hon'ble Supreme Court, vide its order dated 10.7.2006, has stayed recovery of 50% of the back wages. The remaining 50% back wages have since been paid to the petitioners.
In this view of the matter, no further action is called for in these proceedings which are accordingly dropped.
