The petitioner filed Crl.Misc.No.19499-M of 2006 which was disposed of by this Court on July 06, 2006 with a direction to the Sr.
Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur to look into the grievances raised by the petitioner and take such action, as he deems appropriate under the circumstances.
Alleging non-compliance of the aforesaid order, this contempt petition has been filed.
On September 29, 2006, learned State Counsel was asked to seek instructions in the matter. Pursuant thereto, Shri Cheema, learned Sr.DAG, Punjab has filed an affidavit of Rajendra Namdeo Dhoke, IPS Sr.
Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur which is taken on record.
As per the averments made in the affidavit, inquiry was entrusted to D.S.P., Dasuya to look into the grievances raised by the petitioner and on receipt of his report dated 8.9.2006, further inquiry was also sought. Meanwhile, direction was also issued to register the case and in terms thereafter F.I.R. No.145 dated 12.10.2006 under Sections 380/379/427 IPC has been registered at Police Station, Dasuya.
In this view of the matter, no further action is called for in this petition which is accordingly disposed of.
