In the High Court of Punjab & Haryana at Chandigarh.

Civil Revision No.5546 of 2006.

Date of decision : 23.10.2006.

Mohinder Kaur and others .... Petitioners.

Gurwant Singh (deceased) through LRs. .....Respondents.

Coram Hon'ble Ms. Justice Kiran Anand Lall.

Present: Mr.Navjeet Singh,Advocate,for the petitioners.

Kiran Anand Lall, J.

The impugned order vide which the executing court had stayed the proceedings for execution of the decree against the respondents, who are legal representatives of Gurwant Singh deceased, was passed on 7.5.2004.

It is after a period of 2 years that the petitioners have filed this petition, for the setting aside of the order dated 7.5.2004.

No ground justifying the exercise of extra-ordinary powers of this court, under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, after such a long and unexplained delay, has been pointed out, by the learned counsel. As such, this court is not inclined to entertain this petition and interfere with the impugned order.

Dismissed, in limine.

23.10.2006. (Kiran Anand Lall)
