The petitioner filed Crl.Misc.No.14874-M of 2006 which was disposed of by this Court on March 10, 2006 with a direction to the Sr.

Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur "to look into the matter and take appropriate action in accordance with law." Alleging non-compliance of the aforesaid order, this contempt petition has been filed.

On July13, 2006, Shri Cheema, learned State counsel was asked to seek instructions in the matter.

Pursuant thereto, Shri Cheema, learned Sr.DAG, Punjab has filed an affidavit of Shri Arpit Shukla, IPS, Sr. Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur. It is averred in the affidavit that pursuant to the directions issued by this Court an inquiry was got conducted by Shri Navtej Singh Chahal, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, (SD), Ferozepur in which it has been found that the petitioner is habitual of making such kind of false complaints etc. due to his disturbed mental condition and due to his domestic problems. It is further averred that during the course of enquiry, an attempt was made to associate the petitioner but he refused to join the same.

Though it is not desirable or expedient to express any view in relation to the merits of the allegations made by the petitioner, however, in view of the fact that the directions issued by this Court have been complied with by the respondent, this petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to seek redressal of his grievances by approaching an appropriate forum, if so advised.

Rule discharged.
