The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner informs the Court that although a number of writ petitions are admitted, one of them being CWP No.11264 of 2006, but at this stage, the petitioner would be satisfied if the directions are issued to Food Corporation of India, Punjab, respondent No.3 to take a final decision on the representation (Annexure P.8) dated August 28, 2006 within a reasonable time.
In view of the statement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, we dispose of the present petition with a direction to the Senior Regional Manager, Food Corporation of India, Punjab, respondent No.3 to take a final decision upon the aforesaid representation within a period of three weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is received, by passing a detailed and speaking
order and by giving an opportunity of hearing to the authorised representative of the petitioner.
A copy of the order be given dasti on payment of usual charges.
