PRESENT: Shri Jagdish Sharma, Advocate for the petitioner.
The petitioner has approached this Court for issuance of directions to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for allotment of alternative site in lieu of his dislodgement from Jhuggi No.1710, Palsora Colony, UT, Chandigarh and for further directions to the respondents to allot him an alternative site/ accommodation.
After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and taking into consideration the averments made in the present petition, we find that the petitioner has already served a legal notice dated August 30,2006 (Annexure P.5) which remains unresponded so far.
In this view of the matter, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, we dispose of the present petition with a direction to the Deputy Commissioner, Union Territory, Chandigarh, respondent No.2 to take a final decision on the aforesaid legal notice (Annexure P.5) within a period of four months from the date a certified copy of this order is received, by passing a detailed and speaking order.
A copy of the order be given dasti on payment of usual charges.
