Counsel for the petitioner as also counsel for respondent no.2, the complainant are ad-idem that parties have resolved their matrimonial differences and have executed a written settlement dated 27.10.2006. The petitioner and respondent no.2 have agreed to part ways and for that purpose the petitioner has already paid a sum of Rs.1,30,000/- to respondent no.2. It is prayed that in view of the aforementioned facts, the order of this Court dated 23.1.2006 be made absolute.

Counsel for the State of Punjab has no objection.

In view of the facts noticed herein above, the order of this Court dated 23.1.2006 is made absolute, subject to the provisions of Section 438 of the Cr.P.C.

This petition stands disposed of accordingly.
