Petitioner Geeta Rani has filed this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for quashing of FIR No. 14 dated 8.2.2001 under Sections 498-A/406/506 IPC, registered at Police Station Talwara, District Hoshiarpur and the subsequent proceedings.
After arguing for some time, counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner may be permitted to withdraw this petition and she confines her prayer only to the grant of exemption from her personal appearance.
Dismissed as withdrawn. However, with regard to exemption, it is ordered that in case, the petitioner files an application for personal exemption before the trial court, the same shall be considered and granted on the terms and conditions to be fixed by the trial court keeping in view the fact that the petitioner, who is sister-in-law of respondent No.2-complainant and has now been married, is living with her husband at a different place, the fact that she has been summoned under Section 319 Cr.P.C. and further the fact that the complainant has already been granted divorce and has also re-married.
