The petitioner has approached this Court for issuance of directions to the respondents to make the payment of the work of Athwal Distributory from RD 0-32000, claimed to have been executed by the petitioner.
The petitioner has averred that he is a government contractor and was allotted the aforesaid work which had been duly executed and completed by the petitioner. Although, some payment had been made to the petitioner for the work, but some balance payment still remains to be paid.
From the perusal of the record, we find that a legal notice dated December 11,2005 (Annexure P.1) has been issued by the petitioner which remains unresponded so far.
In this view of the matter, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, we dispose of the present petition with a direction to the Executive Engineer, UDC Division, Majitha, District Amritsar, respondent No.4 to take a final decision on the aforesaid legal notice (Annexure P.1) within a period of four months from the date a certified copy of this order is received, by passing a detailed and speaking order and takes such further appropriate action as may be required, in accordance with law.
A copy of the order be given dasti on payment of usual charges.
