Counsel for respondent No.2 states that the petitioner Charan Singh has expired. He has made this statement on the basis of the application filed by LRs of Charan Singh in the court of District Judge, Patiala, where civil appeal filed by Charan Singh is pending.
In view of the aforesaid statement, made by counsel for respondent No.2, this petition filed by petitioner Charan Singh for quashing of FIR No. 97 dated 8.5.2006 registered at Police Station Sadar, Rajpura under Sections 447, 511, 506 and 149 IPC is dismissed as having become infructuous.
However, it will be open for the petitioner to file an application for reviving this petition, if the aforesaid fact stated by counsel for respondent No.2 is found to be not correct.
