One Darshan Singh son of Kehar Singh resident of Village Basti Machhianwali, Zira, District Ferozepur sent an application to this Court alleging therein that the police of PS Zira was harassing the complainant instead of getting his son released from the clutches of abductors.
Pursuant to the notice a reply has been filed on affidavit. In his affidavit, DSP Zira has stated that actually Varinder Kumar @ Vicky, son of the petitioner had gone to meet his relatives without informing the petitioner and other family members and the petitioner filed the present petition without going into the actual facts. Subsequently Varinder Kumar @ Vicky came back to his house. Now the petitioner himself has filed an affidavit before the police stating that he had filed application against Sant Ram and other persons mentioned in the application inadvertently under wrong impression and since now his son has returned, he does not want to proceed further with the petition. The copy of the affidavit of petitioner has been annexed with the reply.
In view of the aforesaid facts, no further direction is required.
