The petitioner has challenged the orders dated September 28, 2006 and October 3, 2006 (Annexure P-7 and Annexure P-8 respectively), whereby the petitioner has been ordered to be rusticated from the College on account of the alleged involvement in criminal activities.

Although, various pleas have been raised by the petitioner challenging the aforesaid occurrence and claiming that he was not involved in any manner in the aforesaid incidence and also that the orders of rustication had been passed by the authorities without affording any opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and without taking into consideration the actual pleas, however during the course of the arguments, Sh. Rajiv Atma Ram, learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner says that since the petitioner has already filed a detailed and comprehensive C.W.P NO. 18322 OF 2006 2

representation Annexure P-9 before the Chairman, Shri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Managing Committee-cum- President, S.G.P.C Amritsar and the aforesaid representation remains undecided so far, therefore, the petitioner would be satisfied if directions are issued to the aforesaid respondent no.2 to take a final decision on the aforesaid representation.

Keeping in view the limited prayer made by the learned Senior counsel appearing for the petitioner but without commenting upon the merits of the claim made by him at all in the present petition, we dispose of the present petition with a direction to the Chairman, Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Science & Research Managing Committee-cum- President, S.G.P.C, Amritsar-respondent no.2 to take a final decision on the aforesaid representation Annexure P-9 within a period of ten days from the date a certified copy of this order is received by passing a detailed and speaking order.

Copy of the order be given dasti on payment of the usual charges.
