The petitioners have sought a writ in the nature of certiorari, praying that the advertisement dated 20.8.2006 (Annexure P1), inviting applications for appointment to the posts of Veterinary Pharmacists be quashed. The instant challenge has been raised on the basis of a variety of grounds.
Mr.Ashok Aggarwal, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, during the course of hearing of the instant writ petition, states that the advertisement dated 20.8.2006 (Annexure P1) has been withdrawn through a notice issued in the Press on 16.11.2006.
In view of the statement made by the learned counsel for the respondents, we are satisfied that the instant writ petition has been rendered infructuous. The same is, accordingly, disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
