The challenge is on Ext.P4 series of notices directing the petitioners to remit an amount of Rs.13,385/- each. According to the petitioners, they are not in any way responsible to meet the liability as demanded by the Municipality. It is also submitted that respondents 3 and 4 are persons who have executed the agreements and it is for them to meet the liability, if at all there is any liability. There is no counter affidavit. Since Ext.P4 series are only notices, petitioners may submit their objections before the first respondent within a period of one month from today. Thereafter, the first respondent will consider the explanations with notice to the petitioners and respondents 3 and 4 and take appropriate action thereon in accordance with law. Subject to the petitioners thus submitting their explanations, the interim order dated 13.2.2002 will continue till orders are passed by the Municipality. The writ petition is disposed of as above.
