Challenge is on Ext.P8 order passed by the Joint Registrar by which direction was issued to the 4th respondent Bank to suspend the petitioner from service and initiate appropriate disciplinary action. That the Joint Registrar has no such power is now settled by the bench decision of this court reported in Mohammedkutty v. Secretary to Government [20021)KLT 880]. Accordingly, Ext.P8 is set aside. Moreover, it is also sen that the sub committee constituted by the managing committee has conducted an enquiry in the matter and the proceedings against the petitioner were dropped based on their report. Hence it is not necessary to pursue the matter further. The writ petition is disposed of as above.
