J U D G M E N T

The writ petition is filed with the following prayers:-

i) To issue a writ of certiorari or any other appropriate writ, direction or order of this Honourable Court calling for the records leading to Ext.P2 and quash the same. ii) To issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, direction or order of this Honourable Court directing the 2nd respondent to take effective steps for demanding sufficient security from the 3rd respondent towards his liability to entertainment tax in connection with the Nalukettu Festival 2003 scheduled on 28.09.2003 at Pathanamthitta Municipal Stadium, to take effective steps for properly registering the number of persons admitted in the said festival and to collect entertainment tax on its basis. iii) To declare that the 1st respondent is liable to indemnify the 2nd respondent for any revenue loss that may sustain on account of Ext.P2 order passed by the Government. iv) To direct the 2nd respondent to forward Ext.P3 to the Government forthwith. There is no counter affidavit. There will be a direction to the 2nd respondent to forward Ext.P3 to the 1st respondent within a period of one month from the date of production of a copy of this judgment. Thereafter the Government will consider the matter with notice to the petitioners and respondents 2 and 3 and appropriate action thereon in accordance with law in the matter will be taken within another four months. The writ petition is disposed of as above.
