ORDERPetitioner seeks anticipatory bail on the allegation that the Hill Palace Police, Thrippunithura is after him at the instance of one Santha who has been a tenant of the petitioner.
2. The learned Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that no crime has been registered against the petitioner and that the police was only conducting an enquiry in a petition received from Santha, that the petitioner has only been summoned for the purpose of recording a statement and that the petitioner is not made an accused so far. If so, the apprehension of arrest and harassment entertained by the petitioner is unfounded. The petitioner may co-operate with the police for the purpose of giving a statement under sec.160 Cr.P.C. It shall be free to the petitioner to mention to the police officer about the pendency of his complaint also. Recording the submission of the Public Prosecutor, this petition is disposed of.
