This is a petition alleging police harassment. It is also stated that in spite of the various court orders, police is preventing the operation of the stage carrier of the petitioner. The interim injunction passed by the civil court was already vacated. The contesting respondents has got a case that petitioner obtained permit by falsifying the registration number of the bus and fraud has been committed by correcting registration number of the vehicle mentioned in the judgment of this Court. If that be so, it is for the respondent to file appropriate proceedings against him according to law. But they cannot take law into their own hands and it is submitted by the counsel for the 2nd respondent that he is not physically preventing the running of the bus or causing obstructions. Govt.Pleader submitted that a crime has been registered against he petitioner's son and he is absconding and police is W.P.(C).27800/2006 2 making investigation. It is also submitted that several complaints were registered against the petitioner for running the bus against the time schedule. If any such complaint is registered, it is for the Regional Transport Officer or other competent authorites to take appropriate action according to law. If a crime is registered, police is free to investigate the same according to the law. But police shall not harass the petitioner and investigation shall be conducted only according to law.
