WP(C)No. 31511 OF 2006Dated this the 15th December, 2006.
JUDGMENT
The contention raised by the petitioner is that he ought to have been appointed as Sub Engineer instead of as CLR worker, having regard to his previous service in the former category. H would place reliance on orders issued by the Government in the matter of reappointment and regularisation of the service of retrenched physically handicapped employees.
2. Legal Liaison Officer for the Board on instruction submits that Ext.P9 representation is under the consideration of the respondents. He would, however, say that the date shown in Ext.P9 as 14.10.2003 is wrong and that the correct date is 10.1.2004. The above submission is recorded. It is stated that final decision will be taken on Ext.P9 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the judgment.
3. In the light of the above submission this writ petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to pass orders on Ext.P9 in accordance with law within six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. WPC 31511/2006 2 The petitioner shall produce a copy of the judgment before the first respondent for information and action. K.K.DENESAN Judge jj
