Prayer in these writ petitions is for a direction for making appointment as contingent workers in the respondent-Municipality. In view of the stand taken by the Government in the counter affidavit that regular appointments to the contingent posts will be made in accordance with the seniority, no further orders are necessary in this writ petition. It is also stated that the workers engaged during the strike period will be included only after exhausting the existing seniority list. The writ petitions are accordingly disposed of in terms of the stand taken by the Government in the counter affidavit at Para. 7 in the former and 9 in the latter.
