V. RAMKUMAR, J.Bail Application No. 7503 of 2006
DATED: 21 December, 2006
O R D E RPetitioner who is the 3rd accused in Crime No. 686/2006 of Kottiyam Police Station for offences punishable under Secs. 366 A and 376 read with Sec. 34 I.P.C., seeks anticipatory bail.
2. This is a case in which a 15 year old girl was enticed away by a gang of youngsters on the promise that they would show her lover Rasheed and thereafter she was ravished by some of them including the petitioner.
3. Anticipatory bail cannot be granted in a case of this nature. There is no reason why the petitioner should not surrender before the Magistrate concerned and seek regular bail. With the above observation this application is dismissed. V.RAMKUMAR,
