H.L.DATTU, C.J. The Friends of Environment is the petitioner in this writ petition. The organization is meant to clean the society from corruption. In this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, their request is to direct the first respondent in the writ petition to suspend the third respondent from service and to take disciplinary proceedings for the actions/inactions, omissions and commissions said to have been committed by him while in service.
2. Having heard Sri.P.K.Ibrahim, learned counsel for the petitioner and having gone through the material that is placed before us, we are of the firm opinion that this writ petition does not even have the characteristics of a public interest litigation.
3. Since we have come to the opinion that the petition so filed by the petitioner does not even have the characteristics of a public interest litigation, we do not intend to entertain this writ petition.
